5 Interesting Facts about Black Adam, The Rise of the DCEU Antihero

Black Adam is the latest film to become part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), after releasing The Suicide Squad in 2021. 



Dwayne Johnson will play Black Adam, or whose real name is Teth Adam. Black Adam is one of the famous anti-heroes from DC comics. Before watching the film, first consider the following five interesting facts about Black Adam. 


1. Superman's hierarchy breaker, Black Adam, is said to have powers that come from six Egyptian gods. The six gods are Shu (stamina), Heru (speed), Amon (physical strength), Zehuti (wisdom), Aton (strength), and Mehen (courage).


If you take the first letter of each god, it will form the word Shazam. Black Adam's power will appear when he shouts the word Shazam. Because of his strength, this character is predicted to be able to beat Superman.


2. Shazam's nemesis, the character Black Adam, should have appeared in Shazam! (2019) as his main enemy. But DC, The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) who plays Black Adam, is only a supporting character in the film Shazam! (2019). For this reason, Black Adam made his own film that tells the story of his origins before meeting Shazam. In other words, the Black Adam film is a spin-off of Shazam! (2019).


3. Starring many famous actresses and actors, Black Adam stars many big stars. Besides Dwayne Johnson, this film also stars Noah Centineo and Pierce Brosnan. This film was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. For the script, this film was written by several people, namely Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani. 


4. The presence of the Justice Society of America Reportedly, in this Black Adam film, several characters from the Justice Society of America will be present. They are Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) and Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell). Each of these characters has the power to manipulate molecular structure and wind. 


5. Using super-sophisticated technology The Black Adam film production team uses super-sophisticated cameras with amazing recording results. Apart from that, there is also a robot arm named BOLT along with a Phantom camera which has super high speed. 


The Phantom camera can shoot up to 960 frames per second from what normally can only reach 24 frames per second. The Black Adam film is excellence in the field of cinematography and is the best in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
